Ive already used that method to switch to a different bow than the one i had equipped while kiting the Phylakites. There are skills that allow you to equip two bows, and two melee weapons. Switching between the two is just pressing left or right on Dpad. I'm almost positive you cannot do that with Tools though.

Assassins Creed Origins comes with a range of different outfits. Unlike previous games, devs have actually put in the effort. Outfits don’t just change color but look very different from one Hitspace bar or your dodge button to dodge, it douses the flame faster, but if the fire damage is too severe, you're going to die anyways. Like, if you accidentally put yourself onfire with your pyro bomb for instance. Be aware of the 'slow-burn', as mounts can catch fire before you do.
